ATHENS - With 5-star quarterback Jared Curtis on board, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are hoping to bring in some talented receivers to go along with him.
James Coley and the Bulldogs are off to a great start with two current commitments in four-stars Vance Spafford and Brady Marchese.
Spafford, one of the fastest receivers in the country out of Mission Viejo (CA) is ranked as the No.11 WR and the No.85 overall prospect in the 2026 class. The speedy wideout stands at 5-foot-0 175-pounds and hauled in 57 passes last season for 1,017 yards and 14 TDs.
Brady Marchese is another promising wideout with impressive speed out of Cartersville (GA). At 6-foot-1 185-pounds, Marchese caught 44 passes as a junior for just over 1,000 yards and 11 TDs. He ran a 10.94 in the 100-meter earlier this month and is ranked as the No. 53 WR prospect in the country.
Who could be next? Let’s take a look...
It may be a long-shot, but keep an eye on five-star Cederian Morgan. Unless something changes at the last minute, the elite receiver out of Benjamin Russell (AL) plans to be in Athens this weekend for his official visit. Sources say the big 6-foot-4 210-pounder will likely stay in the state and choose from Alabama or Auburn, but if things go well this weekend, and with Curtis on board, there’s a chance the Dawgs could grab some momentum. Morgan caught 70 passes as a junior for 1,162 yards and 8 touchdowns. He’s ranked as the No. 2 WR and the No. 19 overall prospect in the 2026 class.
An in-state pass-catcher to know is Carrollton (GA) playmaker, Ryan Mosley. A prospect Dawg Post members should know all about by now, Mosley is a big Bulldog target with a solid 6-foot-2 205-pound frame who who caught 55 passes as a junior for 848 yards and a team-leading 12 touchdowns. He’s ranked as the No. 11 ATH and the No. 241 overall prospect in the country. Like Morgan, Mosley will be in Athens this upcoming weekend for his official visit. IF things go well, look for the Dawgs to take a commanding lead in his recruitment. Right now, sources say the Bulldogs are the team to beat with teams like South Carolina and Auburn also in the mix.
DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!
According to FanDuel, the Cincinnati Bengals have +950 odds to win the AFC Championship next year.
One of the fastest-rising receivers in the state in Cambridge (GA) standout, Craig Dandridge. One of the more productive wideouts across Georgia last season, Dandridge is another speedy weapon with strong, consistent hands. He’s dangerous after the catch and ran a 10.84 in the 100-meter two weekend ago at a track meet. He hosted Georgia assistant James Coley at his home recently and sources believe the Bulldogs are sitting in the best position to land him at this time. The 6-foot-1 180-pounder is coming off a giant He’s coming off a giant junior season where he hauled in 58 passes for 1,443 yards and 14 touchdowns. He’s ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 47 WR prospect in the country. He’ll be in Athens for his official visit the weekend of June 20th.
Another Alabama native to keep an eye on is Hewitt-Trussville (AL) pass-catcher, Dylan Cope. The 6-foot-3 190-pounder earned an offer from the Dawgs on January 29th and will host him for an official visit the weekend of June 13th. As a junior last fall for a strong Hewitt-Trussville program, Cope hauled in 40 passes for 504 yards and five touchdowns.
“When I received the great news that I was offered by Georgia I was extremely excited”, Cope told Dawg Post. “My mom, dad and sister all yelled at the great news. I know a little about the University. When I think of a Dawg I think of a hard-working, well-disciplined football player.”
Then there’s four-star, Davion Brown. Ranked as the No. 35 WR and the No. 220 overall prospect in the country, Brown got an in-person visit from Bulldog assistant James Coley this month and will be in Athens for an official visit the weekend of June 13th. The 6-foot-1 200-pounder out of Trinity Episcopal (VA) caught 42 passes for 946 yards and 10 TDs last fall as a junior.
Here’s what Brown had to say after an unofficial visit this spring...
:They showed me that i am a priority for them and they love my film and the size that i have and also the speed that i play with they put in my mind that i am a great fit for their program and if i want to be developed then Georgia is the place to be.”
