ATHENS - As we reported last week, several of the nation’s top prospects invaded Athens to check out the Georgia Bulldogs.

A fast-rising tight end prospect who made it to town was 2027 tight end, Grant Haviland‍. The promising pass-catching tight end out of Milton (GA) is seeing his recruitment blow up right now and earned an offer from Georgia this weekend during his visit.

Here’s what Haviland had to say about the visit...

According to FanDuel, Georgia Bulldog EDGE Mykel Williams has +15000 odds to be the first player selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.

“What I learned most from my visit is that UGA is very confident in their pro-style offense and believes it will set their players up for a bright future at the next level. The message from the staff was that they were going to continue to win and continue getting players to the league, but if you aren’t ready to work extremely hard then UGA isn’t the place for you. Coach Hartley talked about how the past 6 years UGA has had a tight end drafted to the NFL.”

Playing on the best team in the state last year, Haviland found a way to make an impact as a sophomore both as a pass-catcher and as a dependable run blocker. He brings good size at 6-foot-4 220-pounds, soft hands, and a high ceiling that has led to multiple impressive offers over the last few weeks. The Milton Eagles produced two Georgia signees in the 2025 class (4-star WR CJ Wiley and 4-star TE Ethan Barbour) and Haviland is now a rising junior that Bulldog fans need to keep a close eye on in the 2027 class.
