ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs signed the No. 2 recruiting class in the 2025 cycle and are hoping to do even better in the current 2026 class.
Dawg Post has confirmed that come of the very best prospects in America will be back in Athens this spring and summer for big visits.
Here are some news and notes from the recruiting trail...
Let’s start with the nation’s No. 1 athlete. That would be California native, Brandon Arrington. The No. 8 overall prospect in the country told Dawg Post this week he’ll be in Athens for an unofficial visit on March 21st. If all goes well, look for Georgia to secure an official visit in the summer. The dynamic 6-foot-3 180-pounder is a two-way standout who shined last fall both as a receiver and defensively in the secondary for his Mount Miguel (CA) team. He brings elite speed and a natural feel for the game that has earned him offers from just about every major program in the country.

After signing two linebackers in the 2025 class, including five-star Zayden Walker, Georgia Bulldog defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann is looking for more of the nation’s best in the 2026 class.
Five-star Tyler Atkinson is the big prize, but it appears the Bulldogs are sitting in a good position with several other impressive linebackers across the country as well.
One of those linebackers is former Florida State commitment, Izayiah Williams. The 6-foot-1 205-pounder out of Tavares (FL) is a tackling machine who made 125 stops as a junior last fall with 15 TFLs, four sacks, and one INT that he returned back for a touchdown. He was also a consistent playmaker on offense, rushing for 423 yards and six touchdowns while catching five passes for 97 yards and four more touchdowns.
Williams confirmed with Dawg Post this week that he will take an official visit to Georgia the weekend of May 31st. He’s ranked as the No.7 LB prospect and the No. 108 overall prospect in the country.
In other news, five-star QB target Jared Curtis plans to be back in Athens for his official visit the weekend of June 13th. He’s also scheduled official visits to Auburn (May 16th), Oregon (June 6th), and South Carolina (June 20th). The Nashville Christian (TN) star is a former Bulldog commitment who is ranked as the No. 4 overall prospect in the country for the 2026 class.
New Georgia safety commitment Zechariah Fort confirmed with Dawg Post that he’ll be in Athens for his official visit the weekend of June 13th.
Dawg Post confirmed that three-star safety Tamarion Watkins plans to take his official visit to Georgia the weekend of June 6th. The big 6-foot-3 200-pound safety from Rock Hill, South Carolina and Northwestern High School made 75 tackles, eight TFLs, and three INTs last season as a junior. He’s ranked as the No. 43 safety and the No. 447 overall prospect in the 2026 class.
