UGA Football Linebacker Believes the Dawgs Have Not Peaked

ATHENS - UGA Football’s defense has been stifling outside of the first half against Alabama.
Georgia did not allow a touchdown until it let up five against the Crimson Tide (four in the first half). Georgia reverted back to stronger defense against Auburn this past weekend, holding the Tigers to one rushing touchdown and 13 total points.
Kirby Smart spoke to the media a little bit this week about cutting it loose. So did Georgia starting linebacker Chaz Chambliss. Chambliss usually has few words to share with the media, but he hit on a few topics on Monday, including “cutting it loose.”

On his history with Mississippi State…
“Both of my parents went to Mississippi State. Half of my family either cheers or went or graduated from Mississippi State.”
On being close to “cutting it lose”…
“It means trusting in your preparation, trusting your teammates, and knowing that you can just go full out speed without having to worry about if you did his job or that I needed to do this or that. It is all about the preparation and trust in your preparation or teammates.”
On peaking at the end…
“We’re only five games in right now, going on six, and I feel like the more we play, the more you connect as a defense and trust in each other.”
