ATHENS - UGA Football coach Kirby Smart gave a litany of injury updates on Monday, days before the No. 2 Bulldogs travel to Tuscaloosa for a huge showdown with the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide

The Bulldogs played without several defensive linemen against Kentucky - a game that had more than 70 defensive snaps for the Dawgs. Mykel Williams, Jordan Hall and Warren Brinson all missed that game, but Xzavier McLeod gave the Bulldogs around 15 snaps against the Cats.

“I am hopeful,” Kirby said Monday of Williams. “We will see. He didn't do much last week. He got a lot of rehab on Friday and Sunday. We will see how today goes.”

According to FanDuel, the Georgia Bulldogs have excellent +400 odds to win the 2024 national championship this season.

Williams was injured in Georgia's 34-3 win over Clemson in the season opener. He has not played since that game.

“Warren Brinson practiced last week at the end of the week,” Kirby continued. “We are hopeful to get Jordan Hall back. He's been busting his butt all weekend - working tirelessly to get back.”

Kirby said a week ago that offensive lineman Tate Ratledge would miss several weeks after having so-called tightrope surgery. The head coach also said that Carson Beck was fine after dealing with and AC joint sprain in his shoulder.

Alabama and UGA are required by SEC mandate to comply with the league’s availability report, which will be released on Wednesday night and updated on the following days leaving up to the game.
