BREAKING: New Rankings Are Out Ahead of the Georgia Bulldogs vs. Alabama Crimson Tide

ATHENS - UGA Football continued as the No. 2 football team in the country after one of the program’s two off weekend. Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs got a road win at Kentucky last Saturday night.

Texas remained the No. 1 team in the country according to the AP Poll. UGA remained No. 1 in the coaches poll - as it has all season long. 

UGA’s got 13 first-place votes compared to Texas’ 44 in the AP Poll. The Longhorns beat UL-Monroe 51-3 in Arch Mannning’s first-ever college start. No. 3 Ohio State beat Marshall 49-14. No. 6 Ole Miss routed Georgia Southern in Oxford. No. 5 Tennessee’s one-sided win over Oklahoma pushed the Vols past the Rebels in the rankings for the first time. Tennessee started the season ranked No. 15.

This weekend’s biggest clash is Saturday night on ABC as Georgia (-2.5) heads to Alabama for a top five clash. The two programs have won three of the last four national titles in college football. 

Kansas State hosts Oklahoma State (+4.5) after both teams lost conference openers on Saturday. Undefeated Louisville travels to Notre Dame (-4.5) for ranked matchup. Oklahoma goes on the road in the SEC for the first time at quarterback-troubled Auburn (+2.5). Also, undefeated Illinois (+17.5) goes to Happy Valley to take on Penn State in primetime on NBC.
