ATHENS - Did Tray Scott and Kirby Smart find their next three-star gem on the defensive line?

That could be the case as they’ve added another piece to their already impressive defensive line haul in the 2025 class, adding a commitment today from one of the fastest-rising defenders in California.

That would be interior lineman Jayden Jamal-Hanne‍ out of Santa Margarita Catholic (CA).

Still new to the game of football, Hanne came to the States two years ago from Germany and quickly became a nationally-known recruit this summer, adding an offer from Georgia on May 30th before earning offers from Alabama, Texas, Oregon, Florida, among others.

Now, this current California native has committed to play for the Georgia Bulldogs, who have had no problem developing up and coming linemen and turning them into NFL Draft picks.

Henne committed to Georgia today over programs like Texas, Oregon, Nebraska, and Texas A&M.

What is Georgia getting in Henne?

They’re getting a high-ceiling kid with good burst and above-average intelligence to go along with a promising 6-foot-5 280-pound frame.

He dominated at camps across the country this summer and Georgia loved what they saw from him at the end of May. They got him back on campus for an official visit and took his commitment today for a reason.

He has plenty of room to put on muscle, and he’s only scratching the surface of his potential. He’s a big kid who can really move, and once he can continue to improve his technique and shed blocks in different ways, this young man could turn into a true impact interior defender. He brings enough natural strength to take on double teams, and his length allows him to shed blocks inside in one one-on-one battles. He’s quick enough to create pressure on the quarterback from the inside and has the ability to find ways into the backfield to help disrupt the run game.

He’s all potential right now, but the raw talent and promising frame really stand out. He’s someone who can play on the edge in certain situations, but his promise in the middle is something the Georgia staff has to like as well.

This is a guy they did their research on. While they have multiple defensive line commitments already and are still in the running for several five-star defensive tackle, it’s clear the Georgia staff felt good enough about his potential to give him a spot in this class.

Hanne is ranked as the No. 61 overall defensive lineman and the No. 679 overall prospect in the country.
