UGA Recruiting Notes: Multiple Top Targets Announce Commitment Date

ATHENS - After an outstanding month of June on the recruiting trail, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are likely to add several more commitments in July and into August.
Dawg Post confirmed that four-star safety target Jaylan Morgan plans to make his commitment on July 8th, and sources tell Dawg Post that Georgia is the team to beat for the Rockvale (TN) standout.
“Everything I’ve heard is Georgia”, one source told Dawg Post this week.
Morgan is a 6-foot-0 190-pounder who was in Athens for his official visit the weekend of June 21st. Now, Dawg Post feels Georgia has the lead over Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, among others.
Morgan is a two-way standout who excels at both receiver and in the secondary. He’s a natural athlete with good instincts, ball skills, and big play ability. He’s ranked as the No.24 safety prospect and the No. 252 overall prospect in the country.

According to FanDuel, the Atlanta Braves have +850 odds to win the World Series next season.
Another target ready to make his commitment is four-star offensive lineman Juan Gaston who will now make his commitment on August 2nd. As expected, the massive 6-foot07 350-pounder out of Westlake (GA) will make his commitment to either Georgia, Tennessee, Oregon, and South Carolina. As we’ve reported for months, we like where Georgia sits here, but Gaston Jr. continues to say his recruitment is wide open. T
The massive left tackle will likely slide inside at guard at the next level, and the Dawgs already have two interior linemen on the commit list. Georgia sits in a decent spot still, but this one could still trend elsewhere over the next several weeks. Right now, Dawg Post feels Tennessee is the biggest threat to Georgia for one of the top offensive line prospects in Georgia.
