ATHENS - It's been an eventful weekend for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs on the recruiting trail.

After adding major commitments from 5-star QB Jared Curtis‍ and 3-star DL Jatavius Shivers‍, Tray Scott, and the Dawgs lose a commitment on Sunday morning from 5-star DL commit, Justus Terry‍ according to a post on his Instagram page.

The elite in-state defender had been committed to Georgia for over a year, but is now committed to play for Lincoln Riley and the Trojans after a visit out West this weekend.

The dominant 6-foot-5 275-pounder out of Manchester (GA) made 78 tackles, six TFLs, and 13 sacks along with two forced fumbles and two recoveries. He’s ranked as the No. 8 overall prospect in the country for the 2025 class.

It’s still early, so expect Georgia to keep pushing and recruiting Terry for the next nine months. This recruitment still feels far from over, and the Dawgs won’t give up on an in-state defender as talented as Terry.

This is a tough loss for now, but this race is far from over.
