ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have added a commitment from one of the biggest and strongest interior defensive line prospects in the country.

That would be three-star, Stephon Shivers‍.

The massive 6-foot-4 350-pounder from Humboldt (TN) is a force in the middle of the trenches with a high ceiling. A run-stuffing machine who eats up plenty of space in the middle on the line of scrimmage, Shivers will give Tray Scott and the Dawg’s defensive line more size and natural strength.

After loading up with quality defensive defensive linemen in the 2024 class, Scott is off to a terrific start in the promising 2025 class.

Georgia already has 5-star Justus Terry‍ on board, and now they have a space-eating defender who lived in the backfield last season. He was almost unstoppable unless he was double-teamed and showed the ability to blow a play up behind the line of scrimmage.

This is a raw project that Scott can work on over time. This is a young man who is physically imposing and who will only get better as he sheds weight, continues to put on muscle, gets in shape, and works on his craft. Don’t let his low ranking fool, you. This is someone Scott and the staff feel great about right now.

It’s easy to see his potential, and someone like Tray Scott knows what to do with raw talent and size.

This is a massive addition to Georgia’s class for a lot of reasons, and the Dawgs will look to push for the No. 1 class again come December.

Shivers is currently ranked as the No. 66 DL prospect and the No. 782 overall prospect in the country.

He gives the Dawgs six commitments now in the 2025 class and the first out-of-state prospect in the boat for Kirby Smart and the Bulldog staff.
