ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are looking to flip a top Michigan Wolverine commitment in the 2025 class.
That would be four-star Chris Ewald. The 5-foot-11 170-pounder out of Chaminade-Madonna Prep (FL) is currently committed to the Wolverines, but schools like Georgia and Miami are making a big run at the instinctive, playmaking defensive back.
Ewald, ranked as the No. 73 overall player in the country for the 2025 class, made a visit to Athens this weekend and spoke about that visit to Dawg Post.
‘It was a great day and learning that coach T rob will be there made it more exciting. I think they may have the best secondary staff in college football with Coach T Rob and and Dontae Williams. Coach Donate was high on me when he was at USC. Coach Donate and I have a very good relationship. I also met with head coach Kirby Smart also and he wants me to come back on campus in March.
One moment that stood out about the visit was how elite they are on and off the field. The hire of coach T rob was major and it showed that coach Smart wants continue to build and reach high levels of greatness. Coach Smart, coach T Rob and coach Dontae all in the secondary room is insane.”
As a junior last season, Ewald made 45 tackles, two INTs and 20 pass deflections.
