ATLANTA - As we’ve seen over the last several years, it’s hard to find a better recruiter in the country than Georgia Bulldog head coach, Kirby Smart.
An ace recruiter, Smart has built a national-championship team and one of the best overall programs in college football. Both Smart and his staff recruit at an elite level, and their dominant 49-3 win over Oregon will help them out even more on the recruiting trail. Not like they needed it, though.
The Bulldogs currently have the No. 3 recruiting class in the 2023 cycle, and with the Bulldogs looking for a quarterback and more skill position players in the 2023 class and beyond, Smart gave a little recruiting pitch after Georgia’s big win on Saturday.
“We want people that want to come play in this offense, and I think when you watch what they did today, if you're watching from home, you're saying, man, I'd love to play in that offense”, Smart told reporters.

The Bulldogs have always recruited running backs well, even though it hasn’t been ideal there in the 2023 class. The Bulldogs have signed 5-star receivers in the past, but they also know how to turn former 3-stars (Ladd McConkey, AD Mitchell, etc.) into impact receivers early in their careers.
So, Kirby Smart is right. If you’re a playmaking receiver or running back and you just watched Todd Monken dissect Oregon’s offense with ease, signing with Georgia would appear to be a safe and smart decision.
“They throw the ball around, they toss it around, 30 for 37 for how many yards?”, Smart added. “I don't know, but he (Bennett) threw the ball really well. Passes, he threw a lot of passes for a lot of yards. I think that's a credit to the offensive staff or the planning they had.”
Kirby Smart is one of the best head coaches in the game right now. Offensive coordinator Todd Monken is one of the best play-callers and quarterback coaches in college football. Dell McGee has recruited and developed multiple backs currently playing in the NFL. Bryan McClendon’s resume speaks for itself, as does Todd Hartley’s.
Georgia may have missed on Arch Manning, but make no mistake, the Bulldogs are going to land one of the nation’s best signal-callers in the 2024 class.
Why would any quarterback turn down Todd Monken and Kirby Smart right now?
If you’re a receiver, you may not light up the stat sheet, but if you work hard, you’re going to play at the University of Georgia, and you’re going to be put in a position to make plays.
In the end, Georgia put up 49 points with ease. Todd Monken kept the play-calling simple and the offense executed the game-plan to perfection.
Georgia fans noticed, and so did high-caliber recruits.
