ATHENS - The summer is almost here, and that is good news for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs who plan to host some top targets on campus for official visits, starting this weekend.

Dawg Post has reported for weeks now that the first weekend of June will be a MASSIVE recruiting weekend full of official visitors, but there will be some important targets in town for officials this upcoming weekend as well.

Here are three DL targets who plan to take their official visit to Georgia this weekend...

5-star Jayden Wayne‍ - Lincoln (WA)

The top-ranked prospect in Washington, Wayne is an elite EDGE defender with size and speed at 6-foot-5 245-pounds, and he’ll be in Athens for his official visit this weekend.

Wayne, who has visited Georgia numerous times in the last 12 months, is open to the thought of coming down South to play in the SEC. Wayne was in Athens with his parents for G-Day and spoke with Dawg Post shortly after that visit about the Georgia staff and why they’re standing out in his recruitment.

“Coach Scott is really cool”, Wayne said.  “He's always got a lot of good energy. Coach Chid was really cool, too. He’s young but played in the NFL so he has a lot of experience.”

“I can come there (UGA) and get developed and have a chance to get drafted to be NFL ready”, Wayne added.  “The brotherhood is real strong. They always have the top defense in the country.”

Right now, sources tell Dawg Post that it could come down to Georgia and Alabama in the end for the big-time defender.

4-star Sydir Mitchell Jr.‍ - Bergen Catholic (NJ)

Ar massive interior defensive lineman at 6-foot-5 335-pounds, Mitchell Jr is hard to move in the middle of the trenches, and he’s exactly what the Bulldogs need in this class. He can collapse the pocket, take on double teams, and clog the running lanes in the middle of the line of scrimmage. He appears to be an easy take for Tray Scott at the moment, and he’ll be in Athens this upcoming weekend for an official visit. Dawg Post feels Georgia has an excellent chance of landing his commitment, and he’s one Georgia fans should keep a close eye on.

4-star Dashawn Womack - St. Frances Academy (MD)

A 4-star DL with versatility out of St. Frances Academy (MD), the 6-foot-4 255-pounder defender is one of the top overall prospects in Maryland for the 2023 class, ranked No. 4 overall in the state. He can play on the EDGE when he gets to the next level, but could also move inside down the road as he adds more weight and muscle. He shows burst off the line and knows how to attack the quarterback.

Womack was in Athens for an unofficial visit on April 11th and the Bulldogs were able to land one of his official visits, which will of course ebe this weekend.
