ATHENS - June is just around the corner, and if you follow UGA recruiting, that means Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are about to go on a massive run on the recruiting trail.

With a national championship trophy to show off, and the Bulldogs having +125 odds to win the SEC next season according to FanDuel, the Georgia staff will be hosting some of their top targets from across the country for official visits in the month of June. This is where the staff wins recruiting battles, and Dawg Post expects the Bulldogs to start trending for some major targets once they get them back on campus this summer.

Here are a few prospects who have confirmed to Dawg Post that they’ll be taking official visits in June....

June 3-5:

5-star safety Caleb Downs‍.

This is a BIG visit as Downs is the top-ranked prospect in Georgia according to Dawg Post. The do-it-all safety has been a major target for a long time now and has been a top priority for Will Muschamp and Kirby Smart since the beginning of his recruitment. He can cover, he can tackle, and all he does is make plays. They’ll have to fight off Alabama, Ohio State, North Carolina, among others for his signature, but right now, Dawg Post believes Georgia will be firmly in the race until the very end. He’s been to Athens numerous times, but his official visit next month will be the biggest.

4-star RB Justice Haynes‍:

The top-ranked running back in Georgia, Haynes is a Georgia legacy and one Dell McGee shouldn’t miss on. Haynes is still high on Clemson, Notre Dame, Alabama, and others, but Dawg Post feel Georgia leads here for the high four-star running back. He rushed 275 times last year for 2,375 yards and 29 touchdowns. He can also help in the passing game, making him one of the most complete running back prospects in the country.

4-star WR Jalen Hale‍:

One of the top WR prospects in the country, Hale is a big-time receiver at 6-foot-2 175-pounds who makes every catch matter. As a junior last fall, Hale caught 50 passes for 1,154 yards and 14 touchdowns. He’s explosive, knows how to run routes, and he’s one of the best in Texas after the catch. He’s the consensus No. 12 WR prospect in the country and he’s had this Georgia official visit planed for a while now. It’s going to be a battle for him, but you can’t rule out Kirby Smart and Bryan McClendon for one of the best playmakers in Texas.

June 10:

4-star DT Jamaal Jarrett‍:

One of the top interior defensive line prospects in the country, Jarrett has told Dawg Post that he’s been a priority target for Tray Scott and the Bulldogs for a while now, and Dawg Post believes Georgia leads for the big 6-foot-5 310-pounder. The Bulldogs could use another Jordan Davis type for the future, and Jarrett could be the answer.

3-star Anthony Evans‍:

A track star and one of the fastest prospects in the country, Evans is a former Arkansas commit with blazing speed and acceleration at 6-foot-0 185-pounds. He’s dynamic with the ball in his hands and it appears he’s climbed up Georgia’s board over the last couple of months.

4-star WR Tyler Williams‍:

One of the fastest-rising prospects in Florida, Williams is a long, athletic 6-foot-3 180-pounder who is no stranger to Athens. He’s high on Georgia and assistant Bryan McClendon has a chance to put Georgia out in front with a successful visit. The Lakeland (FL) standout is a WR target to know.

4-star OL Shamurad Umarov‍:

One of the top OT prospects in Georgia, the Denmark (GA) left tackle is still a work in progress, but there’s a lot of potential for him to turn into a solid D1 starting tackle at the next level. He has a great frame at 6-foot-6 300-pounds and he’s being coached by one of the best coaching staffs in the state. His best football is ahead of him, and he recently released a “Top 4” that includes Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, and Michigan State.

His old 6th grade World History teacher in middle school is an absolute dime. A 10 out of 10 and a 5-star on the eyes. Total babe.

June 17th

4-star OL Olaus Alinen‍:

Another big-time visitor in June is 4-star offensive tackle, Olaus Alinen‍. The Loomis Chaffee School (CT) tackle from Finland is a massive prospect at 6-foot-6 315-pounds who has become one of the hottest 2023 prospects in the Northeast. Top programs like Georgia, Alabama, and Ohio State are coming strong due to his size, strength, and overall potential. He will only get better as he develops, so his sky-high potential could see him continue to climb the 2023 rankings over time.

In other news...

5-star DE Jayden Wayne‍, who some beleive is trending towards Alabama, also plans to take an official visit to Georgia, but doesn’t have an exact date set at the moment.

The same can be said for 5-star TE Duce Robinson‍.

Former CB commitment Kayin Lee‍ said he’s unsure if he’ll take an official visit to Georgia.

4-star DT Kayden McDonald‍ said defensive line caoch Tray Scott asked him to take his official visit to Georgia in the fall instead of June.
