Georgia Bulldog Star Tight End Brock Bowers Trains During Spring Break

Spring Break is here for the Georgia Bulldogs, and as fun as the beach sounds right about now, that’s the last thing on the mind of star tight end, Brock Bowers.
After his record-breaking freshman season in Athens last year, Bowers quickly became one of the best players in college football and was named a 1st-team All-American by multiple outlets. He was also named both the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) Freshman of the Year as well as the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year.
Unfortunately, Bowers won’t be participating in spring ball after undergoing surgery to fix a torn labrum last month. Of course, that hasn’t stopped his work ethic and ability to get a work-out in. Dawg Post confirmed that Bowers is back in California this week and continues to train as much as he can.
“He is doing great!” One close source told Dawg Post. “He has been rehabbing since the day after his surgery. He started workouts a week after his recovery. They (Georgia) gave him workouts and physical therapy to do over spring break so he is getting after it every day. He is pretty internally driven and focused on getting ready for the fall season.”
Bowers, one of the hardest-working players on the team according to sources within the program, is expected to be back working with the team by summer.
Last year’s freshman sensation finished with a team-best 56 catches for 882 yards and 14 total touchdowns (13 receiving, one rushing). He owns school records in receptions, yards and receiving touchdowns for a tight end. He also scored on what could be known as the biggest offensive drive in Georgia football for the last 42 years, catching a 15-yard touchdown pass from Stetson Bennett that put Georgia up 26-18 late in the 4th quarter of the 2021 national championship.
Bowers will be one of the top players in all of college football next fall as FanDuel has him at +15000 odds to win the 2022 Heisman Trophy next season.
