I've been wearing one when going in stores and other crowded public places. Admittedly, I started to relax a bit about wearing one when I noticed so many around me were not. Last weekend I was talking with a good friend about the probability of the Dawgs playing a full season with a full Sanford Stadium and he asked this question. Would I agree to wear a mask whenever out in public if it would guarantee a full stadium and full season? I now have renewed motivation!!

Yes, seems pretty clear that wearing a mask is one of the easiest things we can do to help curb the spread.
I wear one if I go places indoors like a grocery store. I have not worn one to my son's baseball tournaments, which have restricted fan attendance and everyone is pretty spread out. If it means we can have college football in the fall, I would have no problem wearing one.
I wore one back in March, early April but have since said screw it. I don't really even think about COVID anymore
I'm too ugly or something
All of the smart people are wearing them in public places. It's the best way to contain the spread. And who would not want that?
I believe Dr. Fauci when he says mask provide no benefit and are not necessary.
It doesn't stop you from getting it as much as it stops you from spreading it to other people. There's literally nothing to lose by wearing a mask.

They aren't mandatory on base anymore unless social distancing can't be maintained. So walking into the commissary or PX, the trend is to wear one at the cash register but they aren't required throughout the facility anymore. I know Jacksonville, NC is not Athens or Atlanta, but I rarely see a mask off base.

I wear one when I'm out of the house. Mostly to protect others since I'm in contact with infected people.
And I'd have no problem wearing one in the September Sanford heat if it meant being able to watch the Dawgs.

I wear one anytime I'm in an indoor public setting (grocery store, getting take-out from a restaurant, etc.), though I'm still avoiding those types of settings as much as possible.
I wear one when I go to the grocery store, but not at work. Easy to social distance at my office, though, especially since we are still working at home for the most part, so the office is rarely even 50% full, and we have our own offices.
That being said, if it meant I could go to games, I'd gladly shelter at home a week before and after games if it meant I could go to some. I wouldn't go to all of them, but I basically didn't go out for 2 months except for groceries 2 or 3 times. I could stock up and do the same in the fall.

I live on the only Air Force base that has had zero COVID19 cases. Folks have been in masks since we could get them and have been ruthlessly practicing social distancing. Masks are required at all on base facilities where you can't ensure social distancing. Off base, though, the locals think it's over. Even folks who may be immunocompromised aren't always wearing them. I wear mine every time I leave the house to go off base. And if wearing a mask gets me into Sanford Stadium, believe me I'll have it on.
Kudos to your base. Imagine if the whole country did this. We wouldn't even be wondering if there were a possibility of no football.
I can think of several jokes to contrast your base's approach and the "jarhead" approach. Glad to hear ya'll are staying safe!
To clarify, I don't really mind wearing a mask, but I don't actually think it does anything and I despise the concept of any government telling me that I HAVE to. I wear one to be polite when others are and also when a PRIVATE business asks but I don't think they do anything and am not uncomfortable when people near me are not.

I am not wearing any longer, unless I am around others in close spaces who are concerned, etc - out of respect for their concern. I keep 2 in my truck (one is a respirator), along with a box of rubber gloves. I have been out to eat a few times, and have found that eating with a mask does not work.
I wear a mask at work and in a crowded store like Kroger or Walmart where I can't always stay 6+ feet away from other people. When Fauci said that masks would not do you any good I told my wife he was lying because even if the mask only screens 50% of particles coming in, it is still better than 0% screening. So in reality Fauci lied because he didn't want a run on masks like we saw on toilet paper. I quit totally trusting everything that Fauci said at that time. Just tell the dang truth.
If wearing a mask is the only thing that stands between me and my seats in Sanford this fall, I will gladly wear one and will only pull it down periodically to sip my beverages. I have already ordered me some Georgia masks.

There is no reason not to wear a mask - as many know I am one of the compromised being diagnosed with Leukemia this October and there are many that are compromised. You may feel fine but not know you are infecting a person that is so if being a little uncomfortable protects someone you may know - why would you not ?

Well, crap. My Mars plans backed up until next year, I guess.
I took the high end Filtrete home air filter and created Transformer style masks out of them. I should sell them on Amazon.
I always wear one when I'm out and about. But, I have a 6 week old son in the NICU who came 14 weeks too early - so I'm a little on the cautious side.
The funniest thing I have seen lately is people in cars, by themselves, with windows rolled up and wearing a mask.

COVID isnt a fine mist, you dont need an N95 for public protection. N95's are for hospital workers exposed to spray and/or long close exposure of known COVID patients. A cloth mask is great to prevent Joe Blow from coughing on you. Tons of data on a "regular mask" being very effective.
Sticking your fingers in your nose, mouth or eye is completely unrelated to the mask effectiveness. Thats just bad behavior.
