Doesn't surprise me, actually. He's very close with Mark Pope. Coached him at Washington and gave him a job at UGA.

On another board I predicted Kentucky would hire Mark Fox as the head
Coach. Kentucky used to rave on and on about what a great coach he was. So I'm guessing Pope was only hired if he promised to bring Mark Fox. They should put Mark Fox in charge of recruiting and inbounds plays.
