agree also on that point

I would much prefer to see Melendez start. I know he may cause turnovers through making dumb passes or get out of control. But he is definitely a momentum changer of the game that has a lot to offer. If CMW can get him to stop shooting when he's cold, I would say start him.

Yeah, and I think this is exactly the point. I suspect White wants Melendez off the bench to add strength to the second rotation.

I know he's not exactly the same player, but I'd love to see Dylan James take some (all) of Sunahara's minutes. Isn't it at least worth a shot? I thought he showed enough in non-conference play to earn some minutes.

I'm fine with James not starting. I just want a redistribution of minutes away from Sunahara.

I do think Melendez's experience is valuable with that bench group, although he does at least three things a game that make me want to scream. He also does at least three great things a game. Big time roller coaster with him.
