I saw that we were in his final four a week or two ago, but I don't know anything about him. I do know that we HAVE to get some guards in this class. All the big names in our recruiting are along the front court. We have to get some guards. We are down at least 1 guard maybe 2 on our current roster. Dangerous to go into the year with only 4 guards.

I watched a little bit of film on Chavis. He's pretty athletic and handles the ball OK. He's got pretty quick hands and defends pretty well. I would say his defense is ahead of his offense, which is unusual. He scores more going to the basket and off transition than he does on perimeter shots. His outside shot needs work. His perimeter shot is more of a set shot with a low release point and is just awkward. He needs a jump shot. I can see why he is ranked just inside the top 100 by most services. Still, even as a work in progress, he could help. He's more PG than SG, that's for sure.
