practices last week.

I was very encouraged and impressed with the chemistry of the BB team.

The kid from Illinois and the freshman Blue really impressed me. Extremely intense and physical. Blue I don't think missed a shot whether under pressure or not. Blue plays bigger than his size.

Overall it's off to a great start.

I don't know the names. The 7 footer can move well...he has some work to do but I think can get there. The kid from Syracuse did well. Overall I think the new additions are a net positive. The kid from Illinois brings a toughness we didn't have before as does the true freshman.

The 7-footer is Tchewa. Sunahara is a 6'8" PF, Thomasson is a 6'3" lefty SG, Deloach is a 6'9" PF, Demary is our only other scholarship PG (unless Cain can play it), James is a skinny 6'9" or 6'10" stretch 4 who should be a really good shooter and Jordan is about 6'5" freshman wing. The kid from Illinois is Melendez.

Blue Cain is a player. RJ Melendez are players. Blue is tough. He plays bigger than his size from what I saw.
All in all...early opinion is that this is a better team than last year culturally. From what I was told by those who were here part of Crean's years and last year...this year is much better.
Last season I was told that Mike White came into a pretty poor situation culturally and brought in players...who didn't necessarilly mesh with the old players. This year I am told it is much better and from what I saw it was.

This team wouldn't have to go far to be culturally better than last year. LOL Just about every new coach has to weed out their roster to build a team of players he can connect with and who give him what he's looking for. Crean really screwed up our roster and didn't leave White much.
