I read on some service over the weekend that he has made huge leaps in his rankings over the summer and has been one of the biggest ranking improvers over this AAU season. We are after him hard, and some favor us to get him. If we could somehow land Reed and Newell, that would be a serious frontcourt.

Also, I spoke with someone over the weekend who has coached against Blue Cain. He was very high on Cain. He said that Cain is a player to watch. I hope he's right because our backcourt is really thin.... Wish we had brought in 1 more guard.

Monk - out on the interwebs a few weeks ago there was a random interview with White on an obscure site talking about the roster. White was quoted as saying we were headed into the season with five guards. He did not list the five. On into the article he spoke about the one kid who is a combo. I wonder if White really meant he had five who could play guard, Mari Jordan is the only other player other than the known four who I have seen listed as a guard at times.

Will be interesting to watch.

I could see Jordan or Melendez perhaps playing some at SG, but I don't think we want either to be handling the ball too much. I believe Thomasson or Cain may be a bit of a combo, but they are two of our known 4. He may also be alluding to the local kid who is walking on. I don't see any other potential guards on the roster.

Yes, he is a guard - a PG, I believe. I watched just a bit of film on him, and I don't see him as a scorer or outside shooter.
