I wasn't blown away, but the team did exceed a few very low bars set by the previous regime: they minimized dumb turnovers and they showed good defensive effort (which didn't always translate to good defense).
Keeping in mind that this was an exhibition, and that no rotations have been established, I'm loathe to try to come to many conclusions.
Moncrieffe needs to finish better around the rim, but he looks like he might be something.
Oquendo's game looks identical to last year: some flashy plays, occasional touch from outside, and a propensity to drive straight into defenders with no real plan.
JAR got some good looks and splashed a couple. Need him around 35% from 3 this year, because the team clearly is not stocked with shooters (makers).
Hill looked competent at point.
Anyway, yeah, not gonna dive too deep, but curious if others had different impressions. Looking forward to next Monday.
