I have no insight into how White wants to construct a roster, but I thought it would be fun to speculate:

Returnees: 4

Oquendo - 6'4" SG
Bridges - 6'10" C
Ingram - 6'7" combo SF/PF
JAR - 6'7" SF

Commits: 2
Hill - 6'1" PG
Roberts - 6'3" PG

Needs: 7 spots to fill

Backcourt:

another PG or at least a combo guard who can play both (can you say London Johnson and/or Dillon Hunter)?
if you get pure PG, then you need at least 1 SG - at least 2 spots here

Frontcourt:

need a big man for sure - a center who can block shots and get rebounds (Anselem fits the bill, Jalen Reed would be tremendous) - center and stretch PF would be ideal - at least 2 spots here

1-2 SFs/wings would fit the bill - we have 2 guys who can play this spot, but still we need 1 and maybe 2 wings (Moncrieffe perhaps and another)

That leaves 1 extra scholarship to get the best player available that can help at any position, assuming we use all our scholarships. It can be dangerous to not fill a roster when injuries/illness could decimate the squad. And you need enough guys to have good practice sessions.

Anybody we get is technically better than the vacant scholarship they fill

I like your allotment. I'd like a legit 3-pt threat. And somebody to be a paint enforcer and rebound monster.

Great post! You can never have enough good shooters. I think we will know more between now and May 1st. I was dreaming of getting that five star that chose Indiana. But I can't blame the kid for choosing them. A man can dream.

I had hoped White and Pastrana might convince Reneau to give UGA a shot, but I really can't blame a kid for not signing somewhere he has no idea who his teammates would be. Shooters we need! Deadeye shooters are few and far between.

Not sure I completely agree with your 1st point. There are many who have suited up for UGA over the years, particularly lately, that were a net negative on the program. LOL

Yeah, we do need a 3 point shooter, no doubt.

Is PJ Horne going to come back? I know he had one year left before he tore his acl, so I assumed he would medical redshirt and return for one more.

I'm not sure I would call it a given, but I can't see any reason to deny the request.
