UNC had a huge 15 pt lead at the half, but Kansas stormed back to catch up pretty quickly, and then the Jayhawks held off a comeback attempt at the end to win by 3. UNC missed 4 game-tying 3s that could have sent the game to OT. It's a shame that Armando Bacot was not 100% due to his severely sprained ankle (that collapsed again on him late in the game and took him out permanently), a sprained ankle to Caleb Love (who had no explosion in his legs late and who missed a number of late drives and 3s - he was 1 for 8 from 3 for the game and not much better from 2). The play with about 4.5 seconds left I think was designed to get a tying 3 for Brady Manik in the corner got fouled up when Manik slipped and fell as he ran to set up for a 3, forcing Love to heave a contested 3 from the top of the key that missed.

I hear ya!

My wife, a KU alum, brought some important sports "stuff", along with me, into our marriage. I brought a Top 5, and 2022 Nat.Champion, football program, and she brought a Top 5, and 2022 Nat.Champion, basketball program. Having KU as my 1b hoops team helps ease the pain of the annual performances of my 1a team, UGA. Hopefully things are about to turn around with the Hoop Dawgs.

My 1st year in grad school at UGA was 1982-83, which is still our only Final Four appearance. Though I know we have the capability to get to the mountaintop again, it's taking a long damn time. Our history since has been one mostly of pain and misery with tiny blips of partial success. 2002-03 set us waaaaay back. We have rarely even sniffed good basketball since then. I think White can accomplish some good things; though he was not my 1st choice, he's a good choice. Now, we simply have to start bringing better players. You can't win sufficiently with smoke and mirrors at our level. You gotta have talent. Talent acquisition is a huge key for White.
