The Georgia men's basketball team's game against Gardner-Webb on Sunday, Nov. 29, was canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test within the Gardner-Webb program.

The Bulldogs are looking for a replacement game for Sunday's 2:00 p.m. tipoff time.

Georgia Tech isn't playing on Sunday (they have games on Wednesday and Friday, then have a nine-day break before their next game), thus an opportunity for UGA to schedule them. Note that the rivals have played each other annually since 1925, but aren't scheduled to play each other this season. The Yellowjackets lead the all-time series 105-91, however, the Hoops Dawgs have won the last five games in the series.

UGA Men's Basketball HC Tom Crean on 13 November:

"Both schools tried to find a way, but due to changes in the conference scheduling, the existing non-conference scheduling that was there after Nov. 25, and the exam schedules being different, there were a lot of things that just didn't make it work out. Like with football, it's disappointing when two schools that have that kind of rivalry and the fans look forward to it can't play. But it's situations beyond our control and we look forward to resuming it again next season."
