ACT NOW: GET 3 MONTHS OF DAWG POST & 2025 PREVIEW FOR $15 | OFFER IS LIMITED TIME

ATHENS - After landing five-star quarterback Jared Curtis‍ in the current 2026 class, it won’t be easy for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs to land one of the nation’s best in 2027.

It looks like four-star target Teddy Jarrard‍ might commit to Notre Dame later today and four-star Kharim Hughley‍ committed to Clemson earlier this month.

While the Dawgs won’t be desperate for a top quarterback in the 2027 cycle, they’re still looking for a talented arm to bring in. Depth is important, so they still need to find someone in next year’s class.

Now, the Bulldogs extended a new offer to one of the top quarterback prospects in the Northeast.

That would be Tabor Academy (MA) gunslinger, Peter Bourque‍. The 6-foot-4 190-pounder from Massachusets is ranked as the No. 7 QB prospect and the No. 86 overall prospects in the country for the 2027 class.

According to FanDuel, the New York Yankees have +800 odds to win the 2025 World Series.

Bourque told Dawg Post this week that earning his Georgia offer was a big deal.

“I was real fired up when Coach Streeter offered,” Bourque said. “I feel like I have been building a good relationship with him and Coach Bobo the past month or so. A Georgia offer is huge as UGA and Coach Smart have set the standard for college football the past few years. I am someone who wants to compete at the highest level and play in the biggest games. Georgia will always be doing that.”

“I got down to UGA for the first time this June to workout at a camp,” Bourque added. “It was an awesome place. I’d love to get down to a game there. It is tough as most of our games are Saturdays but I’m hoping to make it work.”

As a prospect, it’s easy to see the talent that Bourque brings to the table. Not only does he bring goos size, but he’s mobile, moves efficiently in the pocket, and throws a beautiful ball down the field. He shows good ball placement on vertical passes and brings plenty of energy and passion when he’s out there competing. He brings a clutch element and does a good job of playing his best when it matters most. He can squeeze the ball into tight windows and can throw accurately on the run.

The film is impressive, and his best football is still way ahead of him. He played like a seasoned veteran as a sophomore, showing outstanding leadership qualities and big-play potential. He can push the ball down the field and can elude defenders when buying time in the pocket. His talent and potential is easy to see. He’s definitely a quarterback that Georgia fans need to keep a close eye on in the 2027 class moving forward.
