The University of Arizona faces nine allegations of misconduct - including five Level I violations - connected to the FBI's investigation into recruiting corruption, bribery, and fraud within college basketball, The Athletic's Seth Davis reports.

The Level I allegations - the most severe infractions under NCAA rules - reportedly include "a lack of institutional control and failure to monitor by the university" and "a lack of head coach control" from bench boss Sean Miller.
Arizona received a notice of allegations from the NCAA on Friday, but chose not to disclose any details.

The Wildcats are the latest school to be punished by the governing body due to the federal probe.
Among the four college assistant coaches arrested and charged was then-Wildcats staffer Emanuel "Book" Richardson, who pleaded guilty to accepting $20,000 in bribes in exchange for steering Arizona players to aspiring agent Christian Dawkins and financial manager Munish Sood. Richardson spent three months in federal prison.

But Auburn and LSU, who did far more/worse - are rollin' with nothing....it's not like they are blue bloods either.

I haVe never u derstood the LSU situation, you ha e a player saying he was paid and the coach on audio recording saying pay the kid such and such amount. Anyone ever ask sankey why?

This feels like LSU's self imposed bowl ban this year since they weren't going to bowl that mattered with a 5-5 record. I suspect that if they have a NCAA March Madness tournament, it won't be an event that anyone recognizes, so better to take the punishment now and make it look like you are making a grand gesture.

That's about all it takes now days.... Just self impose some candy butt penalty on yourself, and the mighty ncaa will move on. I honestly wonder how they get away with their rules that they decide when or not they themselves will follow or hold accountable.

They've been at it for a while. The mid/late 90s and early 2000s were fun to watch

In 1997, they were the #4 seed in the SE Regional bracket and UGA was #3. UGA lost to Chattanooga in Round 1. Arizona won the NCAA Tournament - beat Kentucky for the Championship. Mike Bibby was a FR and Jason Terry was a Sophomore. Zona had 3 players drafted in the 1st 14 picks (Round 1), and 2 more in the 2nd. AJ Bramlett and Miles Simon were stars that were not NBA names.

They were very exciting to watch...stinks UGA was out so early.
