Has anyone won this award twice or is it rule that you can't have repeat winners.
Uh oh....it's starting to look like a participation trophy.
EXACTLY!!! I think it should be an award based on merit where players compete for it.
It's meaningless to begin with. It's just an award to get some competition on the team and help with team building and team spirit. It's just like "turnover chain" or the "Dawgbone" or the golden shoulder pads. Don't make too much of it.
Hammonds is on there July 9 and the latest one.
I know it's meaningless maybe to you. However, friendly competition helps promote camaraderie as well as workout participation when there's a reward for the amount of work being put forth.. Several teams have the lunch pail award or other workout incentives and players want that for the pride factor.
