ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia Bulldog sophomore defensive back Ellis Robinson IV spoke with the media Tuesday afternoon and offered the following comments.

On his mentality heading into year three...

“I feel established here now. I know what I need to do so I’m just trying to also help the young guys now, too.”

On what Khalil Barnes brings to the secondary...

“He's brought high energy. He’s a great player. He plays STAR so he and I are on the same side. He’s been really good, just communicating with him and everything. It's been really good.”

On being a veteran this spring...

“Yeah, it's different for sure. You know, since freshman a lot of older guys were here, and now being the older guy I’m just helping the younger guys and just learning the schemes and what to do, really.”

On the wide receivers...

“I’ve been impressed with all the young receivers. Since they got here, they've been working, and now since they're getting an opportunity, it's even work every day so I've been very pleased with their performance.”

On where he wants to improve this season...

“I'm definitely focusing on technique. Just making sure that I do the right things at the right time.”

On what he’s seen from DeMello Jones...

“He's definitely growing up. I’d say he's been more mature and taking on a leadership role this year knowing that we’re the older guys in the room. I'm very happy with him.”

On freshman Caden Harris...

“He’s sticky in coverage for sure. He likes to get his hands on you early at the line of scrimmage. He plays the ball in the air, too. He’s a very good corner.”

On his Georgia journey...

“When I first got here I was just learning the scheme and everything, trying to figure it out like any other freshman would. But I feel now with two years under my belt here at Georgia it's been easier for me. Just knowing what they want from me and what they want me to do has helped me improve.”
