Someone sent me an email about Abdur Rahim at TX A&M, who has been an object of speculation, but I have heard nothing confirming that he is close to being hired.

That would be a great hire.

It's certainly a staff most would describe as ideal even without Jonas. An Xs and Os sounding board and a pair of extremely well regarded recruiters.

Which isn't to say Abdur Rahim and Dollar can't coach or scheme. They've been around the game and excelled in all aspects for a while.

The blue print for building a foundation for possible success for UGA hoops is not rocket science.

But why Our last two couldn't figure it out is beyond me.

Crean still has to coach. But clearly he is building a foundation to give himself a shot at success.

Amir Abdur-Rahim, an Atlanta native, is leaving Texas A&M to become an assistant coach at Georgia, according to a source.

That's a great hire. Abdur Rahim is a great recruiter and he's got connections in other regions besides just Georgia. Great staff by Crean. Really did a very good job

So CTC should have Atlanta covered now, with Amir from the Northern suburbs, and Chad from inside the perimeter.

Future is really looking good!
