NORMALLY, in this situation, I would be pulling for ANYONE over Bama, but this year, I find myself actually pulling for Bama and here is why-

Another title for Bama, well, it is just another title-and assuming they blast OU as I think they will, if they can beat likely Clemson by 20+, as frustrated as we all are, we can say we could have and probably should have beat what might be considered the best team of all time. There is no consolation prize for us at this point but considering how dominant Bama has been this year, for us to be the team that had them-to me it shows that we are right there and closing.

Clemson, NO WAY. To win it all with a true FR from the state of GA, I am actually pulling for ND against them because I think that would be pretty funny considering Clemson is considered the closest team to Bama nationally right now.

ND-I will pull for them ONLY against Clemson, and hope they win a very tight game. I don't think they have ANY SHOT to beat Bama, and really don't think Clemson does either but of those two, certainly Clemson has the best shot.

OU-they do have the QB that could give Bama some trouble, but that being said, Bama likely puts up 50 or 60 on them and no way do I think they score more than 30 on Bama-they lost their best WR against Texas and Bama has a month to prepare-and heck they have two QB's on their roster that have prepared them for playing Murray.

I believe if we play any of the 4 of these teams, our chances of winning would be Clem proabably 55 to 60%, ND and OU, probably 65 to 75%, against Bama around 40-50%.

We are VERY close, we just need a few more players to push us over the top, we need our coaches to make better adjustments at the half-two years in a row, I feel like Bama outcoached us in the second half, we did a great job playing them in the first half. I truly believe that once we clear the Bama hurdle-and we are close, we will finally get that national title we all have been seeking for so very long.

As "sour grapes" as it sounds, I'm not pulling for anybody. I really could give two flips who wins this thing. But I'm with you, and I feel pretty close to 100% we know what's going to happen. I'd like to see ND beat Clem in a close one, but it ain't gonna happen. Clem will win that one by a TD, maybe two. Bama will blast Okl. If Saban had to score as much as possible, they'd put up 70. Easy. That may be the worst defense Bama has seen all season. Well, maybe Ole Miss, or Louisville, or some dang body, but you get what I'm saying. I'll call it 56-28 Bama. Then Bama will beat Clemson almost as bad. I'll say 48-27. I mean why even bother watching?

We clearly have the 2nd best team in the country. We'd beat any of the other contenders almost as bad as Bama will. That includes Clemson. South Carolina completely exposed that team. They make TONs of mistakes that none of the defenses they've faced are capable of making them pay for. Not Bama, they will eat that Fr QB alive. At the end of the day, the committee just felt we had our shot, and didn't want a rematch in 4 weeks. It's a bitter pill, but that's how the world of college football works.

Let's just hoist a couple Hurricane's in NOLA, and beat the snot out of those Longhorns!

Oh, I will be cheering for ND to destroy Clemson. They are more of a recruiting threat to us than the Irish. Then, I will be hoping that Bama obliterates Ok, then crushes ND to the tune of about 84-2. That will only make the SEC and indeed, the entire nation tremble at the thought of how good we must be....and, how young we must be.

Agree Darin, and I think ND is good enough on D to slow down Clem and they have enough of a QB to make Clemson D pay-in other words, ND is BETTER than SCarolina and they gave Clemson a bit of a scare, and look at what ND to Syracuse and that almost beat Clemson at Clemson.

As for Bama, if Tua is healthy, I see Bama blowing doors on the Sooners, as having nearly a month to gameplan to start Murray, I think Bama will play inspired defense and the offense will score 50 points. In the national title, I think Bama will beat either team by 2-3 TD's, I hope they win by more. I want us to hang 40-50 on Texas three says after Bama destroys OU, a lot of folks already thought we should have been in, I want more evidence.

Bottom line to me, the best two teams left standing are Bama/Clemson, two schools we recruit against. Bama is already the best program in the land, not like them winning is going to make them more of a force than they are now. BUT, if Clemson can beat them 2 out of 4 tries, that doesn't sit well with me-not that I don't respect the Clemson program, just that I think our program should be better and is better overall, we just play in a tougher conference.
