I imagine we will start hearing about this very soon after the game on Saturday. A recruit that visited last weekend, Noah Cain, made mention to us losing a RB. I have heard the Herrien is likely going to graduate this spring and transfer, also have heard Holyfield might consider going early to the draft. What other players do you think might leave early-I think Ridley could go, I think Mecole could also consider it, I think JR Reed might consider it as well and of course Hot Rod could give it thought since he graduates in the spring I believe. As for kids leaving the program due to lack of PT, I could see Jaden Hunter, Nate McBride, maybe a few of the reserve OL, could be others as well. What we do know is that we have 15 scholarship SR's, and we play to sign 24 or 25, from what I have gathered, we have one spot open now at 84, and so we would have 16 spots open up-so you do the math, we will have 8-9 kids leave the program between Jan and next June.

Fwiw, I don't think McBride will transfer as he's played in all 27 games of his UGA career.

Attrition (known/unknown):

1. Senior CB Deandre Baker - graduation
2. Senior OL Kendall Baker - graduation
3. RS Freshman DB Tray Bishop - legal issue; hasn't played this season; possible transfer
4. Senior WR Ahkil Crumpton - graduation
5. Senior OC Lamont Gaillard - graduation
6. Senior WR Terry Godwin - graduation
7. Senior TE Jackson Harris - graduation
8. Senior DT DaQuan Hawkins-Muckle - graduation
9. RS Junior OL D'Marcus Hayes - hasn't cracked the two-deep depth chart; has played in 4 games this season; possible transfer
10. Graduate Student DL Jay Hayes - graduation
11. Sophomore Jaden Hunter - hasn't cracked the depth chart; has played in 2 games this season; possible transfer
12. RS Freshman DL Netori Johnson - moved from OL to DL on 29 October 2018; possible transfer if he's unhappy w/ the position change
13. RS Freshman WR Matt Landers - has played in 4 games this season; rumor of an attitude issue; possible transfer
14. Senior DE Jonathan Ledbetter - graduation
15. RS Sophomore P Marshall Long - hasn't played since 2016; has had three knee surgeries (possible medical hardship)
16. Senior ILB Natrez Patrick - graduation
17. Senior OLB Keyon Richardson - graduation
18. Sophomore DB Ameer Speed - played in 11 games as a freshman, but only 2 this year; possible transfer
19. Senior WR Jayson Stanley - graduation
20. Senior ILB Juwan Taylor - graduation
21. Senior OLB D'Andre Walker - graduation
22. Senior SS Jarvis Wilson - graduation
23. RS Junior DE Justin Young - played in 9 games in 2016, 4 in 2017, and 1 in 2018; possible transfer

Not sure if there's any player w/ grade issues or RS Sophomores/Juniors/RS Juniors that want to test the NFL waters or grad transfer for more playing time elsewhere.

Good list, you might be right about McBride, if he is happy playing special teams for the rest of his career, he might stick it out. I do believe Herrien or Holyfield, or both, might leave after this year. Holyfield might figure this is the best he will ever be and has proven his worth, Herrien I could see moving on with James Cook, Zamir White and the FR potentially passing him by for his last year. I think Mecole or Ridley could also leave-knowing the WR's we have coming back and moving up, also I could see Nauta leaving after this year-he will be a combine freak I have a feeling. I believe we will have 25 spots available for sure.

If I may chime in....I think one thing we're not considering here.....it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this team is going to be scaaaaaary good next year. The enticement of being on a team that looks like it's destined for greatness and possibly wearing a championship ring might be enough to keep players in the fold. Holyfield has a chance to make his combo with Swift even great next season than the hallowed combo of Chubb/Michel. That might be enough to keep him around. Not sure about the WRs...I hope MH sticks around though. He's just such an explosive player.
