We've had time to rest and relax after the game... Let's talk about what we watched... I was through the roof to see Fromm throwing the ball deep... Godwin could be the toughest man on the team pound for pound... He is always trash talking the other teams players and after that catch to fight the tacklers, stay upright, and finally score was frigging awesome... Swift has had a groin injury all season... Saturday, he looked very fast and also looked healthy... I didn't notice any running issues... Holyfield looks solid as a rock and he is the chain mover... I have to throw Herrien in there also... Both of these guys are very good between the tackles... Cook is lightning in a bottle... This guy is small, but he has afterburners in those legs... We finally saw him in open field running... He is a game breaker... He's going to be one tough customer in the next 3 years... The offensive line played well... Cade Mays made a stupid penalty and Kirby was not happy... I haven't heard a word about Kindley's injury... Hope he is going to be OK... Right knee was injured and anytime a knee is injured, I worry an awful lot... How bout Jordan Davis and his play at the nose tackle... He is huge and it takes a large frame to clog up the middle... The defensive line is probably the weakest part of the team... Especially with rookie linebackers... Let's pray that they start playing better, now that we are in the meat of the schedule... I thought the defense played soft in the 1st half... Vandy had out gained the Dawgs at one point of the game... The screen plays and some of those runs made our defense look average at best... Baker looks great and the rest of the secondary just needs playing time... I expect them to get better after each game... We now hit the road and head to Cajun country to play LSU... This is a do or die game for both teams... Should be a barn burner... Your opinions please...

To say I was shocked with the game plan early on is an understatement, we didn't run the ball until our second series with the ball, or was it the third?? Amazing to not only come out throwing but throwing every play, which I have to believe was done for a couple reasons-to show our opponents that is part of our offense, and to try to establish more chemistry in game situations with our QB's and WR's. I almost thought we were throwing it too much to start, but I would expect more balance this weekend and going forward. The pass pro was pretty good overall, the run blocking was pretty good, the OL has had more injuries than any of position on the team, and considering how young we were to start the season, can't really complain about the play of the OL overall. The D didn't look good yardage wise early on, Vandy ran the ball and hit some screens against us, and I was not happy. BUT, I watched Vandy against ND, and they moved the ball on the Irish throughout the game much better than they did against us. They can throw the ball, the QB is a SR and knows how to play-his Dad is a long time OC and now is an NFL head coach after all.

This week will be a test, road game against an opponent that has similar talent as we do-I will say not as much talent but the closest to what we have of anyone we have played to this point. I do feel like we can focus more on stopping the run this week. LSU has some good WR's, tall, fast and good hands-watched them make a lot of tough catches down the stretch to beat Auburn. The QB is NOT as good as Lock, Shurmur or even Bentley if you ask me. I feel like we should be able to prevent them from scoring a lot of points. I also believe our passing game can be effective against them, UF doesn't have the QB we have nor the quality depth at WR, and they were able to move the ball through the air, and they also were able to gash them some with the run. I like our chances of scoring close or above 30, and I really don't see them scoring more than 20 against us.

Kirby said Solomon Kindley "has a mild MCL sprain" and is hopeful that he'll play vs. LSU this Saturday.

We looked good....everyone seems to think we're playing too 'soft' or we just aren't physical enough....or something like that.
I don't know...it's hard to tell. We've crushed 6 teams and now everyone seems to think we haven't played 'anybody'. But I don't know; Missouri and SC are both 3-2 with one of those games against each other and both have one of those losses to us. Just because we curb stomped a team, they suddenly aren't any good? Maybe they ARE good and we are just GREAT? Is that possible?
So, anyway, one way or the other, we'll find out this weekend. I think our DL needs to step up and be a bit more physical, other than that, it's hard to be negative with what our D has done so far..isn't it?
When our lowest score of the season is 38, it's hard to say much bad about the O either. Again, it's all contingent on who we've played and if they (the teams we've beat) really are as bad as everyone seems to think they are.
I'm just wondering now if we smack LSU is everyone going to say they were a fraud and we STILL have not played anybody?

Terry Godwin told reporters Georgia has probably only played like a B-minus through six games.

Update: Kindley made UGA's 70-player travel squad for the LSU game (note him walking up the stairs to the chartered plane six seconds into this video):
