Just some things me and my crowd have tumbled over and want everyone's opinions on if you feel up to it after a hard weekend of partying no doubt!? lol

1) Does this team have a weakness? It's hard to find one. Depth, speed, conditioning....of course SC may just be overrated but...right now, we're running on all cylinders and the turbo hasn't even kicked in yet, IMO!

2) Taking the knee there at the end on their 10 to keep from going up 48-17...just wondering, would Saban have done that? Was that KS's homage to his former coach MR?

3) Remind me again why we should be ranked behind Clemson in the polls...?? They struggled in a nail-biter, and are aided by a HIGHLY questionable call, to beat an unranked team, while we mopped the floor with a ranked opponent on the road too???

4) Anybody else relishing the Florida meltdown this morning?

5) Does Bama have anything to worry about next week against Ole Miss?

6) Why didn't we see more of James Cook Saturday? Herrien was running pretty good as the third string guy, and not a biggy I suppose, but just wondering...

7) Just how bad IS Andrew Thomas' ankle? Is he gonna play Saturday...??

Weakness-still think we are not as strong at ILB as we would like to be. No offense to the guys playing there but hard to replace Roquan. I think the younger guys will eventually take the spots of some of the older guys currently playing. Secondary still has some issues-Baker and Reed are solid, but the rest still have some improvement. Punter has a big leg but needs to work on pinning teams deep-too many touchbacks for him-just something he can maybe work on going forward. Most issues I have are just nit picking.

Taking a knee at the end is the class way to go, and UGA (despite what rivals say about us) has a class coach and is a class university. Kirby might have learned from Saban how to do certain things but he is his own man.

I don't care about polls right now but there is no doubt we should be ahead of Clemson, but if you watched that telecast on Saturday night, Fowler and Herby were so much in love with Dabo, the Clemson DL, Trevor Lawrence, it was really sickening. Lawrence was the 3rd best QB on the field Sat night and the Clemson D gave up over 500 yards to a team that everyone said was not a great offensive team-playing their second game in a different offense.

UF should have lost to Kentucky last year, they were very fortunate to win-horrible coaching by UK. I guess the fact it happened in Gainesville rubs salt in the wounds-they are just not a very good looking football team and Mullen is not recruiting to a high enough level to help them get better quickly.

Bama might have a little bit to worry about just in the fact Ole Miss can score/throw the ball, but Bama should score 70 points if Southern Ill scored 40.

Cook is clearly running 4th string, as long as those 3 in front of him are producing like they have been, he will play in garbage time at least early in the season. Also probably a clear message to him-don't screw up like you did in the AP game-you have to play smarter.

Kirby said today he might play Saturday but is not practicing today-there is NO WAY he plays this Saturday, Cade Mays did a great job filling in for him and why play him this week when we have a conference game the next week-we don't need him this week so rest/heal up and be ready for the Tigers.

1) This preseason Kirby expressed concern w/ UGA's DL quality depth. More recently, true freshman CB Tyson Campbell was beaten for 2 TDs by South Carolina WR Bryan Edwards.

2) Kirby redshirted his freshman year at UGA in 1994, which was Will Muschamp's senior year w/ the Dawgs. After their playing careers they've coached together and developed a friendship. Kirby didn't need to run up the score on the Gamecocks which would have embittered Muschamp (like Spurrier putting 52 on UGA in consecutive blowouts vs. the Dawgs in 1994-'95), thus had Fields take a knee to end the game.

3) Since Clemson's been in the College Football Playoffs the past three years and won one of them, they've built some cachet with the media. In comparison, the Dawgs are on the rise, but need to win the big one to cement themselves in the national mindset.

4) Schadenfreude

5) Ole Miss OC Phil Longo excelled at Sam Houston State and is off to a fast start w/ the Rebels. However, the Crimson Tide's defense is a lot more stout than Texas Tech's and FCS Southern Illinois'.

6) Cook was suspended the first half of the South Carolina game after getting flagged for targeting vs. Austin Peay.

7) Kirby stated during his press conference that Andrew Thomas won't practice today, but he's not ruling him out for Saturday's game vs. MTSU.
