CUMMING - There’s a quarterback in Georgia that Bulldog fans need to keep a close eye on this fall.

South Forsyth (GA) gunslinger, Khayel Sam Fong-Talia‍.

A physical dual-threat quarterback who was fantastic as a freshman last season for Dillon (SC), Fong-Talia threw for 2,315 yards and 25 touchdowns last fall while rushing for 230 yards and five more scores.

Now the 6-foot-2 220-pounder has made his way to beautiful Forsyth County.

He also made his way to Athens twice this spring and has Georgia high on his list after building a strong relationship with the offensive staff.

According to FanDuel, the UCONN Huskies have +1200 odds to win the 2027 national championship next year.

“I’ve probably been to Georgia the most. I was there for Scavenger Hunt weekend in the spring and went back a couple of week later to throw at a camp. I was able to work one-on-one a lot with Coach Bobo and Coach Streeter. It was definitely a good opportunity to be able to really feel like what it’s like to live and work there.”

Bobo stopped by South Forsyth this spring and didn’t have to stay long before extending an offer to the promising passer. The Bulldogs have five-star Jayden Wade‍ committed in the 2028 class, but sources tell Dawg Post that it’s clear the Georgia staff is extremely high on the new South Forsyth quarterback who will be coached this upcoming season by former Pittsburgh Steeler quarterback Kordell Stewart.

It’s safe to say Bobo and his staff have made an early connection with their new in-state target.

“What I love most about Coach Bobo is the type of person he is. He's very real. He doesn't have a filter so he's straight up with everything he pitches to me and my family. I feel like the whole Georgia staff is like that. Coach Smart, Coach Streeter, they're all very straight up and honest with me and my family, and I really appreciate that. I feel like priority since they continue inviting me back over and over again. I’ve been able to connect with all the coaches and have that personal time with them. It really means that they think of me as something. I’ll definitely be back up there for a game or two this fall.”
