ATHENS - When you look at Georgia’s 2027 commit list there’s one thing that stands out immidiately.

Of their 17 commitments, none of them play in the secondary.

However, it appears the Bulldogs may be trending in a big way for a new cornerback target who was in Athens over the weekend for his big official visit.

That would be three-star Grayson (GA) defensive back, Preston Glasco‍.

The fast-rising defender is currently committed to the UCONN Huskies, but after impressing the Georgia staff this summer during the camp circuit, the 6-foot-3 180-pounder earned an offer and raved to Dawg Post about his big visit this past weekend.

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, the Kansas Jayhawks have +3000 odds to win the NCAA Championship next year.

“The biggest message to me was that coming to Georgia would be a great opportunity”, Glasco told Dawg Post. “They told me that my ceiling is very high and that I haven’t even scratched my peak yet. UGA is structured in so many ways and the coaches feel like I can get developed there and turn into a whole different breed.”

“What makes UGA different is definitely the culture & what it means to be a dawg on and off the field. The town is amazing with cool people who all love Georgia so playing in a town like that would definitely be cool. Also I was able to take a deep dive after many conversations with a variety of the staff. On top of that the draft production that they produce is second to none.”

So there’s the pitch. Stay in the state and get developed by one of the best defensive staffs in college football.

Glasco, an impressive cover-corner with above-average length and athleticism, knows what it takes to play to a standard. Like Georgia, it’s not easy to play for the Grayson Rams. You have to have a special competitive drive, natural talent, and a love for practice.

That’s what Glasco brings to the table. He plays hard, brings physicality to the cornerback position, and has his best football way, way ahead of him.

If Glasco gets the green light to jump on board, look for a big decision to possibly come sooner than later.
