BREAKING: UGA Football To Play FSU In Nashville During 2028 Season
ATHENS - The last time Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs played Florida State it was a bloodbath.
The score was 63-3 and the ‘Noles still haven’t recovered.
That game was in South Florida. Now, sources tell Dawg Post the next time Georgia and Florida State will battle on the gridiron will be in Nashville during the 2028 season.
The home-and-home between the two programs was cancelled earlier this spring but now the two schools have come together to create a neutral site game. Sources say the game will be played in the new Tennessee Titan’s stadium that opens in February 2027.
"You're going to see more and more of those games regardless of the SEC because that's what the fan base wants, what TV wants," Smart said at the SEC spring meetings this year. "That drives revenue, and you're going to see lots of those opportunities out there."
The Bulldogs will also be taking on a nine-game conference schedule in the near future.
Reports indicate that Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, New Orleans, Orlando, and Tampa were other options to host the Georgia/Florida State game, but Nashville is the city that won out in the end.
