ATHENS - Summer is officially here and the Georgia Bulldogs are on fire right now on the recruiting trail.
Kirby Smart had his staff had several major visitors in town and ended the weekend with two more commitments in the 2027 class. They added in-state wide receiver Taurean Rawlins and massive three-star offensive tackle D.J Dotson, giving the Bulldogs 10 commitments in the current cycle.
And more could be on the way soon...
Another top Bulldog target to keep a close eye on is four-star Joakim Gouda. A major target for Glenn Schumann at linebacker, Gouda has plans to make his commitment on July 1st and the Bulldogs have put themselves in a great position for the McEachern (GA) standout after another big visit to Athens.
“Their message to me was how much untapped potential I have and what they are able to do with me as a player. They showed me how beneficial it will be for me not only with football but academically and in life after football. What makes Georgia special is the opportunity to play for Kirby Smart, Coach Schumann and all the other people that make Georgia just such a great program. I know about the people that played there in the past and it’s also the home-state school for me.”
The instinctive, hard-hitting 6-foot-2 230-pound defender made 100 total tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble last fall as a junior for South Paulding (GA). He’s ranked as the No. 14 LB and the No. 152 overall prospect in the 2027 class.

Another major Bulldog target who was in town over the weekend was four-star , Seth Tillman. One of the top defensive lineman across the South, the South Pointe (SC) star has always been high on Georgia and sources say the Dawgs may have the momentum in his recruitment after this weekend’s visit.
“The overall message was what it takes to be a successful player at UGA. The coaches and support staff are appealing to me.”
The 6-foot-3 295-pound interior defender lived in the backfield last fall as he made 61 tackles, 27 TFLs and 8.5 sacks as a junior last fall. Ranked as the No. 13 DL prospect and the No. 131 overall prospect in the country. Tillman confirmed to Dawg Post that he plans to make his commitment on June 11th and will decide between Georgia, Michigan, Clemson and Kentucky.
