ATHENS - It was an eventful weekend for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Not only did they have a spirited spring scrimmage, but they also got some big news on the recruiting trail after hosting several top prospects over the weekend.

The big news came on Saturday night as the Bulldogs landed a commitment from three-star offensive lineman, Abram Eisenhower‍. The interior offensive lineman plays at Lowndes (GA) and committed to Georgia during a weekend visit.

A versatile lineman who can play all over the offensive line, Eisenhower shined at both tackle positions at 6-foot-5 280-pounds and showed that he’s one of the top 2027 run blockers not only across South Georgia, but across the entire state. He plays hard, he shows quick feet, and was dependable in pass-protection. His best football is way ahead of him and he’s only going to get better as he improves his technique and puts on more muscle.

Growing up a Georgia fan, Eisenhower loves the Bulldog football program and becomes the third offensive line commitment in the 2027 class. The Valdosta, Georgia native is ranked as the No. 34 interior OL prospect in the country and the No. 535 overall prospect in the 2027 class.

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, the UCONN Huskies are 7.5-point underdogs to the Michigan Wolverines in the national championship.

In other news, it’s clear the Bulldogs are in a battle to keep hold of four-star offensive tackle commitment Kelsey Adams‍. The Langston Hughes (GA) tackle has been committed to Georgia since late September but is coming off a second recent visit to LSU over the weekend. The Tigers are pushing hard for the Atlanta native and the Dawgs will have to hold on tight to sign the No. 13 OT tackle prospect in the country.

In other news, five-star offensive tackle Mark Matthews‍ released his Top 4 over the weekend and the Bulldogs made the cut. Ranked as the No. 1 OT tackle prospect in the country, Matthews is still considered a long-shot, but the Dawgs made his final group along with LSU, Texas A&M, and the local Miami Hurricanes. The giant 6-foot-5 300-pounder out of St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) will be back in Athens for his big official visit this summer.
