ATHENS - After promoting assistant offensive line coach Phil Rauscher earlier this week, Georgia Bulldog coach Kirby Smart made sure his new assistant checked on a major 2027 OL target.
Rauscher wasted no time getting up to Pennsylvania to visit with 5-star offensive line target, Maxwell Hiller.
Ranked as the No. 1 interior OL prospect in the country, Hiller is a mean 6-foot-5 305-pound lineman who made an eye-opening 132 pancake blocks during the 2025 season. He dominated at left tackle this past season, showing impressive physicality and mobility. He plays hard, plays with a mean streak, and knows how to play in space as well. He’s an above-average athlete for his size who consistently buried defenders into the ground all season long.
Hiller is ranked as the No. 11 overall prospect in the country for the 2027 class.
Staying on the offensive line front, the Georgia staff recently extended an offer to one of the fastest-rising OL prospects in Georgia.
That would be Lithonia (GA) tackle, Kennedee Jackson. The giant 6-foot-8 300-pounder from metro-Atlanta is in the middle of seeing his recruitment take off with recent offers from Georgia, Florida, Georgia Tech, Tulane, Boston College, among others.
“When I first got the call I was confused at first because I didn’t know who it was. Then when he told me I was extremely excited then after a great conversation he gave me an offer and I was very appreciative and grateful.”
Look for Jackson’s ranking to rise more and more this spring and summer heading into his senior season next fall.
