ATHENS - As you know by now, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldog staff were all across the country last week extending offers and checking on top targets.

One promising 2027 wide receiver who got a visit from assistant James Coley is four-star pass-catcher Amare Patterson‍. A South Carolina native at Bluffton High in Ridgeland, Patterson earned a Bulldog offer last summer and was in Athens during the fall to take in Georgia’s loss to Alabama.

It’s clear he’s climbed up Coley’s board over time and spoke with Dawg Post about his visit from the Bulldog assistant.

“Coach Coley has emphasized how much I fit their culture and the standard they hold at Georgia. I’ve stayed in contact with the staff and I’m planning to get back to Athens either next Friday or in the spring to spend more time around the program.”

As a junior last season, Patterson caught 51 passes for 912 yards and 10 touchdowns. He’s ranked as the No. 37 WR prospect and the No. 289 overall prospect in the 2027 class.

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III has +360 odds to score the first touchdown in Super Bowl LX.

A new in-state receiver that Georgia fans need to keep a close eye on is East Laurens (GA) playmaker, Major Floyd.

The small-town athlete shines on both sides of the ball last season and proved that he can score anywhere on the field when he has the football. He’s a natural pass-catcher with impressive burst and big-play ability. He’s incredibly elusive, has great change of direction, and a slippery runner who is tough to bring to the ground. Now, this promising junior athlete has an offer from the Dawgs.

“When I got the offer from Georgia, it was a blessing for real. That’s one of those offers you dream about as a kid, so I was excited and grateful. Georgia is a powerhouse program with a winning culture they develop guys the right way on and off the field. Coach Smart and the staff are all about discipline, competition, and accountability!”

As a junior last season, Floyd caught 26 passes for 407 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for two more scores. Defensively, the 6-foot-0 175-pounder made 43 tackles and two INTs. He also broke up three passes, forced two fumbles a recovered two more.
