ATHENS - While Kirby and the Dawgs continue to upgrade the roster through the transfer portal, they still have an eye on the recruiting trail.

Here are some out-of-state prospects who spoke with Dawg Post this week about their new offer from Georgia...

A promising 2028 cornerback in Florida to keep an eye on is four-star, Man Robinson. Ranked as the No. 72 overall prospect in the country for his class, Robinson is a playmaking 5-foot-11 185-pounder who shows strong technique in coverage and the ability to deliver a strong, physical hit on the ball carrier. Between his size and toughness, it’s easy to see why Georgia extended an offer to the IMG Academy (FL) sophomore.

“The Georgia offer was crazy,” Robinson told Dawg Post. “Honestly, I still can’t believe it and I’m still totally shocked about it. But I’m glad that they consider me someone that should be on their recruiting radar for the class of 2028. They are such a storied program and they put guys in the NFL every single year. Maybe I’ll be another one of those guys if this relationship continues to develop. I’m glad that such a big time  program is willing to build a relationship with me.”

“I grew up watching guys like Todd Gurley and Nick Chubb as a young kid, and my step dad always mentions Champ Bailey, and AJ Green, and then all the recent defensive backs that they’ve put in the NFL over the last few years alone. It’s all just a blessing, and I’m looking forward to visiting more and building stronger relationships with their staff!”

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, the Green Bay Packers are 1.5-point favorites over the Chicago Bears in the Divisional Round this weekend.

Another Florida native in secondary to know about is playmaking cornerback, Cameron Goodwin Jr. The South Florida defensive back plays at West Broward and was a turnover machine last season, picking off two passes, forcing one fumble and blocking three punts on special teams. He also made 50 tackles and five TFLs. One of the top 2027 cornerbacks in the area, the lengthy defender stands at 6-foot-2 175-pounds and had a lot to say about earning his Georgia offer this week.

“UGA has been my dream school my whole life so I was very grateful to get the offer from Coach Donte Williams. Getting the UGA offer was a huge blessing for me and my family. It really meant a lot knowing a program of that caliber and my dream school believes in me and wants me with the program. I know Georgia is built on elite development, a strong brotherhood, and competing for championships every year, and that definitely stands out.”

Over in Oklahoma is where you’ll find a new 2027 Georgia target who is one of the top overall defensive back prospects in the state. A natural athlete with strong ball skills and the ability to make plays on special teams, Osborne Jr. is a 6-foot-3 180-pounder with a very high ceiling as a playmaking in the secondary.

“I was very happy about the Georgia offer. It put a big smile on my face and I’ve been thinking about it all day. I don’t really know much about them because I’ve never really watched college football growing up but I’ve always been a big fan because I have a lot of family down there and used to always visit and watch Georgia football when I got the chance too.”
