ATHENS - For the second time this week a 2026 Georgia Bulldog commitment has been arrested.
The first was three-star defensive lineman Seven Cloud.
Now it’s four-star cornerback commit Chace Calicut who was arrested for a “violent driving incident” according to FOX26 in Houston.
Calicut and one other person were charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in an event that happened back on July 6th. According to reports, “Calicut sped ahead of a couple in a different car before hitting the brakes and forcing the other car to avoid a collision.”
“Calicut was allegedly driving erratically in front and alongside the teens who saw Calicut’s passenger with a handgun pointed towards them.”
“The teen was able to make a U-turn and drive away from Calicut’s car, but then he heard several gunshots, according to court documents. A friend driving behind the teen reported that he saw Phillip shooting out of the window as they drove away, according to court documents.”
Calicut, a four-star cornerback out of North Shore in Houston, committed to Georgia over Texas on June 27th.
