ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have a “secret weapon” on offense according to SEC insider Cole Cubelic.

No, it’s not Zachariah Branch, it’s not Noah Thomas, and it’s not Cash Jones or any of the running backs. It’s someone still flying under the radar in Georgia’s offense.

According to Cubelic, it’s wide receiver London Humphreys.

The SEC analyst believes Humphreys should have seen more targets come his way in 2024. His hands weren’t perfect last season, but looking back on it now, it’s hard to say he’s wrong.

Humphreys only caught 15 passes last season for 244 yards and two touchdowns. However, the two touchdowns were big. He had a big catch and run for a score in week one against Clemson and a massive score against Georgia Tech late in the year.

Humphreys has a chance to see more targets come his way in 2025.

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, the Georgia Bulldogs are 38.5-point favorites against Marshall in week one of the 2025 season.

“The secret weapon is London Humphreys,” Cubelic said on his podcast. “Every week last year I was wondering where he was and why he wasn’t on the field. The kid can catch. The kid can run. He’s a great route-runner. I think there’s some Ladd McConkey in him. Again, he can run routes and has a high football IQ. The kid’s a good wide receiver and I think he can help this offense. When you take his skill-set inside of everything else Georgia has, it could be a perfect fit to take advantage of how defenses are going to be forced to play them.”

“Everything else Georgia has.”

That’s another good point. They Dawgs are loaded with wide receiver talent. Dillon Bell had his share of drops last season, but he’s one of the best in the SEC once he’s secured the ball. He’s one of Georgia’s most versatile weapons who can help the offense in several different ways. He may not lead the team in receptions, but he’ll get his share of opportunities to make plays this fall.

They have a big-body wideout returning in Colbie Young and and another in transfer-portal addition Noah Thomas. There’s your size.

Then there’s transfer addition Zachariah Branch. One of the fastest and most explosive weapons in college football. It’s easy to see why Georgia fans are excited about him, but Cubelic says he needs to see more development.

“Zachariah Branch is going to get a ton of hype coming into the season,” Cubelic said. “I get it. He’s a track guy. He’s crazy fast and looks like the Flash. He’s not a great wide receiver yet. He might turn into it, but we haven’t seen it yet.”

Returning wideouts Cole Speer and Sacovie White are also looking to find their way onto the field this fall, as well as several talented incoming freshman.

It’s easy to overlook a guy like London Humphreys with all of the other shiny weapons in that room. There’s size, speed, and plenty of returning production.

But still. Don’t forget about Humphreys. He brings a lot to Georgia’s offense and could be the “secret weapon” that makes the passing game click in 2025.
