ATHENS - It may be February, but Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs continue to have an eye on the recruiting trail.
New offers went out recently and Dawg Post gives the latest on several prospects who recently earned an offer from the Bulldogs....
EDGE Darryl Rivers - McEachern
A fast-rising EDGE defender who made the move from Pebblebrook to McEachern, Rivers is an under-the-radar defender in Cobb County who could see his recruitment take off after a big offer this week from the in-state Georgia Bulldogs. He was one of the more productive EDGE defenders in the area last fall as a junior, making 60 tackles, five sacks, 15 TFLs and 18 more QB hurries for Pebblebook. Now, Rivers will bring his length, toughness, and max-effort mentality to McEachern in 2025.
“I couldn’t believe it”, Rivers told Dawg Post about his Georgia offer. “I had told my coach repeat himself a couple times and even when he did I still couldn’t believe it. Then the coach Scott called himself and told me I had an offer from the University of Georgia and I just thanked God. I thank him for answering my prayers and I just told myself I can’t stop now because the sky is in limit. I know Georgia is a great school with great coaches. They’re already trying to connect a bond with me. I know their academics are off the charts and they have always produced NFL talent.”

TE Brock Williams (2027) - Libertyville (IL)
A new tight end target to know about in the 2027 class, Williams is a lean, athletic tight end who can make big plays in the passing game. He brings an lean 6-foot-5 210-pound frame and has enough speed to take off down the field for a big gain. He’s a mismatch in the middle of the field, showed dependable hands, and can be tough to bring down after the catch. He’s coming off an outstanding sophomore season where he hauled in 35 passes for 608 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s one of the top 2027 tight end prospects in the country, and now he holds an offer from Todd Hartley and the Georgia Bulldogs.

DB CJ Hestor - Cocoa (FL)
A long, versatile defensive back cornerback from Florida at 6-foot-2 175-pounds, Hestor can line up on the outside at cornerback or play in the middle of the field at one of the safety positions. He brings size, toughness, and natural ball skills that allow him to play anywhere in the secondary. His recruitment has taken off recently, adding new offers from Auburn, LSU, and the Georgia Bulldogs. As a junior last fall, Hestor made 72 tackles, four INTs, 10 pass-breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. He’s a talented defensive back Georgia fans need to keep an eye on moving forward now that he’s got an offer from the Bulldogs.
“I was really exited and very humble about it earning an offer from Georgia”, Hestor told Dawg Post. “I know Georgia is a powerhouse program that produces a lot of NFL players.”
Hestor is ranked as the No. 19 safety prospect and the No. 221 overall prospect in the country for the 2026 class.
