ATHENS - Year after year Georgia football fans have been begging for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs to sign another five-star wide receiver.

Now, they’ve got their wish in elite receiver, Talyn Taylor‍.

Ranked as the No. 4 WR prospect and the No. 23 overall prospect in the 2025 class, the Geneva (IL) standout earned a five-star ranking after an outstanding senior season where he lit up the stat sheet with 84 catches for 1,617 yards and 24 touchdowns. Taylor went over the 100-yard mark in nine of his 14 games last fall and scored at least one touchdown in 13 of those games.

The 6-foot-1 175-pounder checks all the boxes at wide receiver. His talent and natural athleticism is easy to see on film. He’s an exceptional route-runner who can get open with ease, and when he has the ball, he’s always a threat to score.

The sure-handed Taylor also shows tremendous body control, outstanding burst, and knows how to glide away from defensive backs down the field. He’s a big play waiting to happen, and while he didn’t exactly play against top-notch competition, he was easily the best player on the field week after week.

DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS!!

According to FanDuel, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has +650 odds to win NFL MVP next season.

The Dawgs have plenty of options at wide receiver, but Taylor won’t be sitting on the bench for too long. He’s a twitchy, dynamic wideout who makes it look easy on the field. He moves at a different level. He can float in the air when leaping for for the ball. He can make defenders miss in the open field. He can haul in a tough pass that’s not thrown properly.

Whatever you’re looking for, Taylor has it. Even as a freshman, Taylor is the type of playmaker that will push everyone ahead of him on the depth chart. He’s going to make everyone else in that room better, because if they don’t improve, Taylor is going to make them pay.

The Bulldogs don’t sign many “elite” receivers, but it’s safe to say Taylor falls into that category.

Georgia fans have been dreaming about landing someone like Taylor, and now their dreams have come true. He may not start on day one, but Taylor is a true freshman that could make a big impact in year one.
