Details:

Georgia adds an edge rusher from Army

Elo Modozie, the 6’3” 245-pound edge rusher from Army picked the Dawgs in the transfer portal. Georgia is very thin at this position, especially in experience. Damon Wilson leaving for Missouri in the portal put Georgia in a tough spot. Modozie had 6.5 sacks in 2024 for the Black Knights.

Georgia adds running back after losing Branson Robinson days ago

Illinois’ leading rusher from last season, Josh McCray, is joining Georgia just days after Branson Robinson hit the transfer portal. Nate Frazier, Chauncey Bowens and Cash Jones seemed to be Georgia’s main backs art G-Day last weekend with Roderick Robinson still nursing an injury. Georgia added Dillon Bell’s little brother, Micah, in the winter portal window as well. McCray is another experienced body for Georgia in that room, and he is coming off of a season where he toted the rock for 609 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Georgia takes another defender from Miami in the portal

Georgia added defensive back Jaden Harris from the Hurricanes during the winter portal window. This time, the Dawgs brought in defensive lineman Josh Horton. Horton is almost 300 pounds and adds to a defensive line room that lacks experience. He does not have much experience himself, coming off of his freshman season, but he is another player for a group that has dealt with many injuries and lost four players to the NFL this offseason.

Georgia loses WR Nitro Tuggle to transfer portal following suspension

Nitro Tuggle, the upcoming sophomore, entered the transfer portal in the spring window after being suspended indefinitely from all team activities. Tuggle was arrested on March 19 after driving at a speed of 107 MPH in Athens. Kirby Smart suspended him, and he was not a participant at G Day. Tuggle briefly entered the transfer portal in December before ultimately deciding to stay at Georgia. Now, he will likely be gone for good this time around.

Reserve offensive tackle Marques Easley, who was also recently arrested for driving-related issues, entered his name in the transfer portal on Thursday.

UGA loses RB Branson Robinson to portal

Former UGA running back Branson Robinson entered the NCAA's transfer portal Wednesday. The move comes after Robinson missed all of 2023 with an injury and sustained another one midway through the 2024. Robinson ends his career at UGA with 403 yards on 93 carries and six touchdowns.

UGA adds younger brother of Dillon Bell through portal

Micah Bell, the younger brother of junior wide reciever Dillon Bell, is transferring to Georgia. He is a former four-star athlete. He played for Notre Dame in 2023 as a freshman and was on Vanderbilt’s roster this past season.

UGA football adds Dynamic Receiver Through Transfer Portal

After landing elite wide receiver Zachariah Branch just a few days through the portal, Kirby and the Georgia Bulldogs have now landed playmaking wideout Noah Thomas from Texas A&M.

The big 6-foot-6 200-pounder was a terrific weapon for the Aggies in 2024 as he hauled in 39 passes for 574 yards ad 8 touchdowns. He’s a massive target down the field who can line up outside and win contested catches over smaller defenders. He’s a jump-ball weapon who knows how to find the endzone.

UGA Football Flips Dynamic Transfer DB From Florida Gators

Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs steal away a playmaking defensive back commitment from the Florida Gators. That would be former UAB Blazer defensive back, Adrian Maddox. The playmaking defender entered the portal and committed to Florida, but today flipped his commitment to Georgia

UGA adds Miami DB through portal

Jaden Harris, who tallied 40 tackles in 2024, started all 13 of Miami’s games in 2024. He ended the season with 40 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and one interception. His biggest game came against the Gators in the season opener: seven tackles, one half-sack and an interception.

UGA loses former five-star prospect Damon Wilson

UGA football LB Damon Wilson said Monday that he plans to enter the portal. The move comes after the former five-star prospect had three sacks and 22 tackles on the 2024 season.

UGA adds former All-American WR, defensive back from USC

UGA Football was lacking explosion it had gotten used to in national championship seasons. On Sunday the Dawgs added a transfer that could help with that problem immediately in 2025.

2023 All-American WR Zachariah Branch and defensive back Zion Branch, brothers who played this past season at USC, committed to the Bulldogs Sunday. Zion branch will help bolster the Bulldogs’ secondary. Zachariah will be expected to add spark to a UGA offense that sputtered too often in 2024. He will also add playmaking ability to the return game.

Georgia loses sophomore receiver Anthony Evans

Anthony Evans is a former four-star wideout from the 2023 class. He saw limited playing time in his two years in Athens- mostly in garbage time. He was roped into the gameplan more in 2024, but did not play in many significant snaps. Georgia will now look to replace Evans as the primary punt returner as well. Malaki Starks was the backup retuner when Evans missed a few games due to injury this past season.

Jaden Rashada leaves Georgia after one season

Rashada transfered to Georgia this past offseason after a year at Arizona State. He made headlines in the offseason for filing a lawsuit against Florida over an NIL disagreement. Rashada was behind true freshman QB Ryan Puglisi, which was discovered after Carson Beck’s injury in the SEC Championship game.

Alabama transfer transfers from UGA

UGA DB Jake Pope, who transferred to UGA from Alabama, announced that he was headed back to the NCAA's Transfer Portal Saturday night.

Dawgs Lose Two Reserve LBs To Transfer Portal

On Friday, backup linebackers Sam M’Pemba and Troy Bowles announced they would be entering the transfer portal after two years in the program.

Georgia loses safety Justyn Rhett to Transfer Portal

Rhett is a former four-star prospect from he 2023 class who saw limited action during the 2024 season in a reserve role. At the time of Rhett’s announcement, Georgia is losing two defensive backs to the transfer portal.

Nitro Tuggle returns to UGA

A day after announcing he would be entering the transfer portal, freshman wideout Nitro Tuggle announced today that he’ll in fact be coming back to Georgia for another season.

Tuggle’s original announcement wasn’t surprising, but after considering his option and knowing there was a chance to have a significant impact next season, Tugge decided to come back to Athens.

Tuggle appeared in seven games this fall, catching three passes for 34 yards. The Bulldogs have had inconsistent receiver play this fall and many expect Tuggle to see a bigger role in the offense next year as a sophomore.

Jamaal Jarrett departs from UGA

However, the Bulldogs did have defensive lineman Jamaal Jarrett enter the transfer portal. The second-year defensive tackle was hoping to make an impact within the first two years of his career, but of course, that never happened. The reserve lineman appeared in just about every game this fall but only made three total tackles. After two seasons, Jarrett knew he had to explore other options as more playing time next year was not guaranteed.

Michael Jackson leaves UGA after limited production in 2024

Former USC and UGA WR Michael Jackson annouced that he was transferring from Georgia. The     Las Vegas product had one catch for ten yards with the Bulldogs.

Julian Humphrey kicks off transfer portal from UGA

Former defensive back Julian Humphrey annouced that he was leaving the program the week the Bulldogs are preparing to play in the SEC Championship Game against Texas. Humphrey played in all of the Bulldogs’ first 11 games of the season.

Humphrey, a redshirt sophomore, was a starter for most of the season opposite Daylen Everette until the last few weeks. Sophomore Daniel Harris had firmly taken control of the second cornerback spot after rotating at the spot with Humphrey for the majority of the season.

Smart has recently praised Harris for how much better he has been practicing over the last month. The head coach has been pretty obvious all year about how the young cornerbacks have struggled, and with Harris’ improvement, Humphrey has seen far fewer snaps.

Humphrey finished the season with 10 total tackles and four pass deflections. Georgia has allowed explosive touchdowns all season, and Humphrey was in coverage for a handful of them, including some in key moments like against Ryan Williams’ game-winner. Every Georgia secondary member has been guilty of allowing a score or two this season, however.

The third-year corner completes his Georgia career with 21 total tackles and no interceptions.
