ATHENS - UGA Football caoch Kirby Smart said Monday that he was hopeful the Bulldogs could get one the program’s starters could be back for the Dawgs’ rivalry game with the Gators.
Starting guard Tate Ratledge has been out since he was hurt during the 13-12 win over Kentucky. He dressed out as an emergency during UGA’s 30-15 win over No. 1 Texas, but he didn’t play.
Ratledge was listed as questionable in the most-recent injury report for the Dawgs. But it appears he could be on track to play against the Gators.
“We're hopeful,” Kirby said. “We think he's going to be able to give us something. He broke some last week, took some reps, did rehab over the weekend. Hopefully, he's raring to go. I know he wants to play it’s really important to him.”
