ATHENS - It’s clear Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs need a true “alpha” at wide receiver next season.
Luckily, they’ve got some help on the way in elite pass-catcher, Talyn Taylor.
One of the best wide receiver prospects in the country, Taylor is a touchdown-scoring machine who recently released his eye-opening midseason highlights.
Through his first eight games, Georgia’s four-star commitment has caught 34 passes for 898 yards and 18 total touchdowns. That’s over 26 yards a catch and a little more than two touchdowns a game.
As a prospect, Taylor’s a crafty route-runner with tremendous ball skills and natural playmaking ability. He’s an incredibly smooth runner who is fundamentally sound when creating separation from opposing defenders.
He’s quick, sudden, and brings above-average speed. He’s not a burner, but he’s a natural receiver who can leap and snatch the ball out of the air. He gets open consistently, secures the ball, and can pick up yards after the catch.

He’s explosive, shifty, and brings a versatile skillset, having the ability to line up in the slot, on the perimeter, and in the return game on special teams. He’s electric with the ball in his hands and has the potential to be a true go-to No. 1 receiver when he gets to Athens. That’s the type of player they have coming in.

Taylor has hit the 10-yard mark five times this season with games of 175, 114, 183, 157, and 133 yards. He’s also scored at least three touchdowns in half of his games so far this fall.
The 6-foot-1 175-pounder out of Geneva Community (IL) is currently ranked as the No. 1 prospect in Illinois, the No. 8 WR prospect, and the No. 40 overall prospect in the country for the 2025 class.
