ATHENS - UGA Football released video of coach Kirby Smart celebrating with his team after the Dawgs’ 30-15 win over the Texas Longhorns on Saturday night.
The video shows Kirby coming into the post-game locker room jumping up and down with players in his program after Georgia’s first win over the No. 1 team in the country on the road. The Bulldogs were underdogs for the first time since the season opener against Clemson in 2021, but dominated Texas all night with a smothering defense and very good special teams play.

The win was Kirby’s 100th as head coach, something he said he never thought would happen when he started as UGA’s coach in 2016.
"A lot of credit goes to a lot of people. Sam Pittman, Chaney, Dell McGee, Todd Monkin, a lot of players. Kamari Lassiter, DeAndre Swift here tonight, (DeAndre) Baker just flooded the sidelines, and so many other people had an involvement in those 100 wins,” he told reporters after the game. “It's pretty cool to hit that number because when I started, I thought that was unreachable and unattainable. And now, in 10 years, 9 years, I don't know how many years it is, we get there. It's a credit to this university and the support we have that we've been able to do that.”
